Ruta del Este assumes the comprehensive management of the Pan-American Highway, implementing new quality and safety standards.

Since July 2024, Ruta del Este is officially responsible for the administration and comprehensive management of the Eastern Pan-American Highway, in the section that runs from Pacora, in the province of Panama, to Yaviza, in the province of Darién, including the road easement. . This responsibility includes supervising and regulating any work carried out by third parties within this space, guaranteeing the safe and efficient operation of the road. The Easement Works Manual defines the steps and requirements necessary to request permits, execute works and complete interventions with quality standards that protect both users and the infrastructure.

Objectives and scope of the manual:

The document establishes the requirements that external companies must meet to obtain permits and carry out work within the easement, ensuring that these activities are compatible with the operation of the road.
